The LIT Lounge is a safe community space for Black Women who are aspiring or current authors, screenwriters, writers, and literary/film content creators.

🙋🏾‍♀️ Can I write the LIT Lounge off as a business expense?

Yes, considering this membership is for education and community, you can write your membership off on your taxes. Please make sure you save your receipts!

🙋🏾‍♀️ Do I need to be a member to attend events?

Due to the Circle Platform, you have to create an account and join as a free member to attend public events. However, you will have limited access to The LIT Lounge.

🙋🏾‍♀️ Is the LIT Lounge Queer Friendly?

Yes, for this is a safe space for the LBGTQIA+ community. If you have any specific questions, please email litlounge@blackgirlswhowrite.com.

No, you do not need to be a member of The LIT Lounge to work with BGWE. You can submit a request here.

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds, however, you can cancel your membership at any time.

🙋🏾‍♀️ Is there a trial period or free period to the membership before committing?

Unfortunately, we are not offering free trials. However, you can be a member for free and attend any public events.

🙋🏾‍♀️ Can men join The LIT Lounge?

At this moment, Black Girls Who Write does not have any dedicated spaces for Black Men, but we are looking to expand soon.
