Creativity coaches will be on hand for guidance, but the space is yours to create. Because your best words come from a rested mind.

This isn’t just a girls’ night—it’s a whole vibe. Girls Night In transforms networking into natural connection through curated experiences. The retreat workshops and events will occur from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Please arrive by Thursday, October 2nd and you can depart Sunday, October 5th if you wish to not attend the It’s LIT! Literary Awards or on Monday,October 6.

No, flights and accommodation are not included in your ticket.

Yes, food is included on all retreat days except for Friday night. Friday is a free night to venture around Washington, DC.

You can fly into BWI in Baltimore, DCA Regan, or IAD Dulles.

You can Uber/Lyft, walk, or take the train to the venue location.

No. Tickets are final sale and non-refundable but transferrable. Guests must find someone to replace them. Tickets will ONLY be refundable if Black Girls Who Write cancels the event or if the event is postponed due to an act of God/Covid-19.

Friday | Business attire for the morning for your headshots.
Saturday | Dress down during the day and sleepover attire at night, so you know that means pajamas!
Sunday | Fitness for yoga in the morning and you have an opportunity to change. Dress to impress for dinner in the evening. The Finale Dinner requires all guests to wear orange.
